皇家隊王建民休息兩天後，昨天再於金鶯隊比賽9局登板後援，投1局失掉1分，王建民今年定位為牛棚，不同於先發，隨時待命準備上場，仍是建仔需要面對的重要課題；儘管連3場出賽失分，但王建民飆出目前為止最快球速94哩（152公里），證明狀況沒有問題。
昨天為王建民本季第4度大聯盟登板出賽，前兩次出賽，都是在比賽比分差較大時登板，21日對老虎隊9局登板後援，球隊兩分落後，教練團測試意味濃厚；王建民21日後援1局，被敲3支安打，失掉1分。
休息兩天後，王建民在球隊3：7落後時，再度登板面對金鶯中心打線，對首名打者瓊斯投出保送，接著被戴維斯敲出安打，之後雖投出暴投，但守備幫忙，抓到跑往三壘的瓊斯。
王建民接著被川波敲出二壘打，失掉1分，但隨後靠著三振抓到第2個出局數，對哈迪飆出目前為止最快球速94哩伸卡球，讓哈迪打成滾地球出局，結束投球任務。
王建民總計用28球投完1局，被敲兩支安打，失掉1分責失分，防禦率升高到5.06，皇家終場以3：8輸球，王建民無關勝敗。代辦信用貸款
儘管近3場出賽王建民都有掉分，但球速卻逐漸提升，昨天飆出本季最快球速，顯然身體狀況沒有問題，要如何趕快適應牛棚隨時待命的出賽模式，是王建民首要課題。
